The Droid Building Academy is a Star Wars themed immersive learning experience that reimagines how we inspire the next generation of learners.
PROVEN IN 2023
Over fifty volunteers, professional educators, and Lucasfilm team members welcomed thousands of fans at Disney’s Star Wars Celebration. Kids and families raced droids, built lightsabers, and coded animatronics, while the Pinewood Studios creature team took the stage to show how the movie magic is made.
REIMAGINED IN 2027
Environmental storytelling, immersive scenic design, and costumed, in-character staff bring the Academy to life. Young fans and their families create their own characters, step into immersive sets, and train in design, engineering and coding to earn their droid building diploma.
